Invaluable Education and More Fun Than a Truckload of monkeys A little over a year ago I bought my first truck. My intent was just to get a more reliable vehicle for road trips and family adventures into the mountains, ski trips, etc. It quickly re-ignited my interest in the great outdoors. I had done lots of camping, backpacking, hiking etc but I had been hearing a lot about this overloading thing. I thought, wow, it's like backpacking with your vehicle. My backpacking days were when I was much younger and didn't have kids. The thought of backpacking with my 7 year old sounded like I'd be carrying a lot of gear. However, with Overlanding I might be able to get a similar experience without carrying all the gear on my back. To get some experience to driving my new truck off-road my wife contacted CampDads and booked me for an introductory day of wheelin'. It was a pretty good anniversary gift. What a great experience! I met my guide near the trailhead along with a couple of other participants. He spent some time going over some safety and equipment guidelines, explained what kind of route were were taking, and helped us get our rigs dialed in for the ride. Then we hit the trail. It started out as just a somewhat bumpy ride as we climbed up near the top. Then we stopped to talk about what was ahead. The route got way more interesting after that. The rest of the day was filled with beautiful views, tons of new information about using my rig to get out and explore, some adrenaline pumping moments, and great conversation. If I could take CampDads with me on all of my off-road adventures I would. I learned a lot, had a ton of fun, and created some great memories.

This is a very approachable entry into jeep 4x4 using capable and comfortable vehicles. Can't recommend this enough if you want to try something a bit more adrenalin filled than the average tour. Campdads was just a wonderful experience!!! We loved every second of our trip! He made my fiancé and I feel so comfortable and like we were apart of his family!! You get to drive your own jeep and follow behind him. He walks you through the process of driving up the hills. He stops at certain parts to let you take pictures. We just had so much fun! I wish I could give more stars for this review! I HIGHLY recommend that you do this!!

Amazing 4x4 experience! Jeremy lead us on some trails in South San Diego and it was an amazing experience! Definitely would recommend!!

A great off road experience This was an AMAZING experience!!!! We used 2 Jeeps and they were great.. steep inclines and declines. Was given alot of information while on the trip via 2 way radios. ..... so your also in constant contact. Views are great!!! We will be back to do this again.. thanks for a great time!!!

Great Times Well Worth it! I've had the pleasure of joining Camp Dads for three 4x4 trips now,Corral Canyon(Espinosa trail, & sidewinder), Valley of the Moons, and Otay truck trails. Each time has been an amazing experience for my family and I. my kids love the nature experience, and the 4x4 fun. Beautiful scenery, breathtaking views, and great company. Highly recommend checking Camp Dads out.

CampDads has been the perfect option for guided OffRoad tours. I’ve participated in several of their out of state trips and local (SoCal) trips as well. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and always prepared. Always willing to educate and share experiences for the novice level to seasoned trail goer. The owner has been very upfront and clear about the processes and requirements for a safe and timely OffRoad experience. I can honestly say that I can’t wait for my next CampDads Adventure.

Go out and Explore with a Great Group! I commend this venue as they are very professional, fun and know their away around the trails. Very Experienced individuals who know what they are doing. They will tour you around while encouraging you to do obstacles like it's nothing. You'll have fun and get to know your rig and how capable it is. We went with a large group and they were very organized and took pics along the way so we can enjoy the experience during and after.
