#PROTECTPRESERVE

Protecting Our Trails, Preserving Our Land

We partner with Venture Unknown Foundation for hands-on volunteer programs focusing on trash cleanup and trail maintenance across trails managed by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.

Whether you’re passionate about protecting the environment, giving back to your community, or simply love spending time outdoors, VUF provides a meaningful way to make a difference.

Get involved, make a lasting impact, and be part of a dedicated team working to preserve our wild places!

2025-03-15 Beasley Knob Workday

Let’s join forces with our friends who share the mission of RESTORING THE OUTDOORS and roll up our sleeves with Georgia Bounty Hunters for a workday at the legendary Beasley Knob! The VUF crew will be out in full force, building fence lines, hauling out trash, and tackling whatever Ol’ Beasley throws our way.

The GBR has been an Adopt A Trail volunteer for Beasley Knob OHV since 1995 and would like for you to join us for a workday at one of Georgia’s finest off-road park.

2025-03-22 Spring Clean & Camp

As spring unfolds, the Venture Unknown Foundation (VUF) is thrilled to launch its Spring Clean & Camp event! Our cherished national forests are calling out for care and preservation, and it’s up to us, the stewards of nature, to answer that call.

Are you dismayed by the sight of beautiful camping spots marred by litter and neglect? Join us on March 22 to help restore the beauty of our outdoor spaces. We encourage you to spend a day with us or, better yet, camp overnight either before or after the cleanup day.

Event Details:

  • Locations: Choose from two locations:
    • Georgia: Conasauga Ranger District, Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest
    • North Carolina: Nantahala Ranger District, Nantahala National Forest
  • Activities: Participate in cleanup efforts at popular forest service roads and campsites to prepare them for the 2025 camping season.
